# About us

Get to know our church family, our faith and the mission that brings us together.

WHO WE ARE

## More than a Sunday gathering

Eglinton Presbyterian Church is a Christ-centred, gospel-focused church family serving
Ballysillan and North Belfast.

Our mission is: **Learning, Worshipping, Loving, Reaching Out Together.** We seek
to live this out as we build friendships and grow in faith.

OUR MINISTER

## Rev Matthew Horner

Our minister is **Rev Matthew Horner**. Together as a congregation, we seek to share
the good news of Jesus Christ through worship, prayer, fellowship and service.

We welcome those exploring Christianity as well as those looking for a church home.

## Friendships made and nurtured

Our hope is that Eglinton is a place where people are welcomed, supported and encouraged
in following Jesus Christ.

SUNDAY WORSHIP

## Join us at 11am

**Our Sunday worship service begins at 11am every Sunday.**

We gather to praise God, pray and hear the Bible taught. You are welcome to join
us, whether you are exploring faith or looking for a church family.

Following our Sunday morning worship, everyone is warmly invited to stay for tea
and coffee. It’s a relaxed opportunity to enjoy a chat, get to know one another
and build friendships. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or have been part
of Eglinton for years, we’d love you to join us.

THE GOSPEL

## Honouring Jesus Christ

We are a **Christ-centred, gospel-focused** congregation. Our identity and hope
are rooted in the good news of Jesus Christ.

We seek to hear and respond to God’s Word, pray together and grow as disciples of
Jesus.

## Learning. Worshipping. Loving. Reaching out together.

These words describe the life we seek to share as a church family and the way we
hope to serve our neighbours.

OUR COMMUNITY

## Serving Ballysillan and North Belfast

We are thankful to be part of the Ballysillan community. Through our worship, organisations
and everyday relationships, we seek to share Christ’s love with the people around
us.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

## Our faith and hope

We believe the Bible is God’s Word and that it points us to Jesus Christ. The good
news of the gospel is that salvation is God’s gracious gift, received through faith
in Jesus, not something we earn.

We worship the one true God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and seek to follow Jesus
in every part of life. As a congregation of the **Presbyterian Church in Ireland**,
we are part of a wider family of churches united in Christian worship, witness and
service.

These are introductory statements of Christian belief, rather than a complete statement
of the church’s doctrine.

## Supporting Eglinton’s mission

There are many ways to support the life and witness of our church family through
prayer, service and generosity.
